The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a missing Southern California man who was last seen at a gas station near Mendota. A CHP officer took 26-year-old Michael Bell, of Los Angeles, to a Chevron Gas station on West Panoche Road near Interstate 5 at about 3 a.m. on September 17 after Bell’s car ran out of gas on the freeway, the LAPD said. Houston police are looking for any information about a pregnant woman who hasn’t been heard from since early this month. Kimberly Lavaughn Rhodes, 31, was last seen on Sept. 17 in the 7800 block of West Airport. Her mother told Houston police her last contact with Rhodes, who is seven months pregnant, was Oct. 3 when they spoke on the telephone. The details of their conversation weren’t disclosed.
