UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — A woman was stabbed and her 9-month-old girl kidnapped on Monday evening. Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said the woman was found dead at a duplex in the 6000 block of 57th Ave. W. The victim’s child could not be found, and investigators believe the child was abducted by his father, Joseph A. Lester, who is the victim’s ex-boyfriend.
