Deputies are searching for a baby that has reportedly been missing for the past 11 months.
The Sacramento Sheriff’s Departments said 22-month-Old Dwight Stallings was last seen by family members sometime in April 2011.
Investigators said the child was born in May 2010.
Deputies said they just recently learned of the case and are aggressively trying to learn the whereabouts of the child.
Detectives are working with the Elk Grove Police Department, as well as Child Protective Services. Both agencies said they have had contact with the child’s mother, Tanisha Edwards, throughout the investigation.
Deputies said Edwards is being held at the Sacramento County Mail Jail for a probation violation.
Officials said Edwards has not been able to provide any leads that might help them locate her son.
Investigators said the child may be being cared for under a different name.
